This is the October Print, an art piece created to help provide comfort and connection to those who have experienced child and/or parenthood loss (in its many forms: miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, & infertility).

The month of October is the hallmark of fall. It's a season representing transformation and maturity and—for people like us—it’s a time to formally remember our children lost too soon as part of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month.

It holds all of this and more for our family. October is our stillborn son's name and October 2022 marks five years since his passing. To give action to Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, to celebrate and mourn October’s fifth birthday, and to connect deeper with the loss community through art is the how and why of this art piece.

We hope the design of the October Print is interpreted however it is felt, but our intention is to depict pregnancy and loss as landscape. We hope it speaks to your own experience.
